John R. Barnes, CPA - Chairman of the Board and CEO

Mr. Barnes has been Chairmen and a member of the board of directors, CEO and controlling member of Barnes Oil and Gas LLC since its inception.  For more than fifteen years, he has been chairman of the board of directors and CEO and majority shareholder of BWOC as well as chairman of the board, President, and CEO of other family owned enterprises.  He was a founding owner of B&R Energy, LLC (“B&R Energy”), which syndicates oil and gas well drilling programs, of which he is the manager.  An entrepreneur since 1970, Barnes has participated in the founding of more than a dozen companies, including Carterfone Communications Corporation, U.S. Telephone Inc., (subsequently renamed Sprint by United Telephone), International Telecharge, Inc., and the General Partner. He has been Vice President and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Dallas Opera and a member of its Executive Committee.  He is a member of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and of Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association and a member of ADAM Energy Forum. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A. in Accounting.

Robert W. “Bill” Barnes -Vice President and CIO

Mr. Bill Barnes has been a member of the board of directors, member and Vice President and CIO of Barnes Oil and Gas LLC since its inception, and has been a director of BWOC since 2004.  He was a founding owner in 2001 of B&R Energy, which syndicates oil and gas well drilling programs, of which he is President and a member.  He was a registered representative with Charles Schwab from March 1993 through November 2004.  At Schwab, he participated in the startup of e.Schwab (Schwab’s electronic online trading product), was active in the development of numerous corporate projects, including usability and risk concerns with the electronic products, and risk management issues surrounding them.  He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Psychology.  He is also a graduate of Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management with a Master in International Management in International Finance (formerly the American Graduate School of International Management). He is a member of ADAM Energy Forum.  Bill is Mr. Barnes’ son.

 

Brandy G. Barnes - Vice President Administration

Ms. Barnes has been a member of the board of directors, member and Vice President – Administration of Barnes Oil and Gas LLC since its inception.  She has been a director of BWOC since 2006.  She has been a member of B&R since its inception, and is an Executive Vice President with that firm.  At J.C. Penney Co. from 2001 to 2004, Brandy oversaw design and development of $300 million per year of product lines.  From 2000 to 2001, with Coach, Inc., she led the group that designed and implemented a computer-based product development, design, and manufacturing system.  From 1997 to 2000, with the Lerner New York division of Limited Corp., she created and managed product that produced $350 million in annual revenue.  From 1994 to 1995 she was HR and special project manager for Brinks, Inc., North American division.  From 1991 to 1994 she was project manager for Barnes Enterprises.  Brandy’s bachelor’s degree in International Studies is from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, where she also played on the NCAA championship Women’s Soccer team.  Brandy also holds a bachelor’s degree from Parsons School of Design.  She is on the board of directors and is the Communication's Committee Co-chair for the Women’s Energy Network North Texas Chapter and a member of ADAM Energy Forum. She is John Barnes’ daughter.
